Over 40 yrs of tradition and trust continues...
The Oshawa
Monument Company was founded in 1961 by John Martin. After coming out of
the army, John started working with a monument company in Kingston.
A few years later he moved to Toronto to work with a much larger company.
Because of his integrity, honest and excellent workmanship, he had been promoted
to shop superintendent responsible for thirty five employees.
Some years later, John became acquainted with the Oshawa area when he worked
on the installation of the R.S. McLaughlin Mausoleum.
He liked the area very much and decided to start his own business in 1961.
In 1966, youngest son Gord came to join his father full time. Gord's son Dan
started right from high school. Today, Gord, his wife Sharon and son Dan
work the family business together.
We are in our third generation and our work ethic is as strong as the first.
